Valentine, Nebraska – The Valentine Police Department made several arrests and responded to over 40 calls for service from July 6 to July 12, 2025.
On July 6, around 7:55 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance on Dowden Street involving two intoxicated men. A 44-year-old and a 43-year-old man from Nebraska were arrested for disturbing the peace and transported to Cherry County Jail.
Two days later, on July 8, at 9:25 p.m., police were dispatched to the 800 block of Dowden Street for an assault report. A 28-year-old South Dakota woman was arrested for third-degree assault and has an outstanding arrest warrant.
Police are also looking into a burglary that occurred over the Fourth of July weekend at a home on the 900 block of Moon Street. Several items were reported stolen, including an Oculus VR headset. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Valentine Police Department.
