The Watertown 9U Travel Team Places Second at the Mitchell State Tournament

The Watertown Arrows Baseball 9U travel team finished second at the 2025 South Dakota Class A Baseball State Tournament, which took place at Caldwell Park in Mitchell on July 18-20.

The squad, which included Lee Kreutner, Nolan Boehm, Greysen Blank, James Sonne, Kroy Barrios, Harmon Fedt, Nash Buechler, Maverick Mages, Breyer Bartling, Everett Dickes, Brogan Miles, and Briggs Miles, demonstrated their abilities throughout the 3rd Grade Division tournament. Brett Blank and Sean Fedt tutored them.

Watertown’s path to the title game featured numerous memorable victories. On July 18th, the Watertown Arrows defeated the Sioux Falls Rez Bats 8–5. On July 19th, they extended their winning streak with a 15-6 triumph against Brandon Valley Silver and a resounding 12-2 victory over the SEBA League Stars.

On July 20th, the Watertown Arrows defeated the Harrisburg Hitman 2-1 in the semi-finals to advance to the championship game. Watertown lost 8-7 to Harrisburg Donnelly in the championship game, finishing second.
