Sandusky, Ohio — Riders on Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster, Siren’s Curse, were led off on Wednesday evening after the ride was halted by its safety system.
“The safety system worked as expected, but the ride could not be restarted. “Guests were safely escorted off the ride,” Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark told FOX8 News.
He reported that the ride was back up and running on Thursday.
Clark confirmed that a power outage occurred in parts of the park on Saturday, June 28.
The outage lasted from approximately 8 to 9:45 p.m.
The rest of the park remained open until 10 p.m., and the park reopened completely the following Sunday, Clark said.
