Lorain County parents can provide an extra layer of protection for their children during this week’s county fair.
The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it will begin providing child ID processing services, which is a significant step forward in terms of child safety measures.
According to a social media post by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, ID processing will take place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday during fair week from noon to 8:00 p.m.
To ensure that the community has access to these critical services, IDs will be issued at the conveniently located DARE trailer adjacent to the Sheriff’s Office substation at the main gate.
As we all know, even with the carnival rides and cotton candy, the fair atmosphere remains vigilant against the unexpected.
While the fairgrounds are bustling with families, these ID processing services act as a silent sentinel, protecting against the nightmare that all parents fear.
The Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office will not be left behind, operating Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during Fair Week at the same hours in BUILDING 19 (Fair Hall).
This initiative is part of a larger effort to promote child safety, giving parents and guardians peace of mind among the crowds and excitement of the fair. The IDs contain critical information that could be useful in the event of an emergency, such as the child’s photo, fingerprints, and other identifying information.
