Fort Wayne, Indiana — The Allen County Coroner identified the driver who died this weekend after being thrown from his SUV in an Interstate 469 crash.
He was identified as Daniel Lamar Preston, 33, of Fort Wayne.
Officers from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded Saturday evening to the ramp from westbound I-469 to northbound I-69 near Exit 0B. Preston’s SUV had veered off the road for unknown reasons, colliding with a culvert.
The impact of the collision ejected him from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The coroner determined that his cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash, which was ruled an accident.
The crash is still under investigation.
