Bakersfield, California – Kern County Sheriff’s officials said a man’s body discovered Saturday in Mojave was in the early stages of decomposition.
On Saturday, officials described the body as that of a man in his fifties. He has yet to be identified by the coroner’s office.
At around 12 p.m., a passerby called 911 to report the decomposing body in the 300 block of Trotter Avenue in Mojave.
Homicide investigators took over the investigation. Officials did not explain how the body got there. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have occurred.
