A 21-year-old woman in Maryland was arrested nearly three weeks after allegedly pepper spraying another woman in the face before stabbing her multiple times outside a Baltimore strip club. De’Siya A. Parker was arrested on Monday and charged with several felonies, including attempted first and second-degree murder, assault, and reckless endangerment, authorities said.
According to a Baltimore Police Department press release, Parker is accused of assaulting and stabbing a 35-year-old woman outside an adult entertainment establishment in the 400 block of East Baltimore Street. The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on May 25.
Following a preliminary investigation, authorities were able to locate Parker and arrest her on June 9.
According to court documents obtained by Baltimore NBC affiliate WBAL, police were already in the area conducting a routine business check when they noticed two women having a physical altercation in front of Club Pussycat. Police, with the assistance of bystanders, reportedly broke up the fight and separated the women.
Both women were reportedly searched and found to be carrying no weapons.
A few moments after the initial fight was broken up, police said Parker could be heard saying, “Someone going to die tonight,” but stated in a probable cause affidavit that they were aware Parker was unarmed at the time. Parker then walked away from the scene.
Later that evening, police said Parker returned to the same strip club while the victim was outside speaking with a man who worked at Club Pussycat, which is when the alleged knife attack occurred.
The man told police that he was speaking with the victim when Parker approached and stared at him, according to Baltimore ABC affiliate WMAR. He allegedly witnessed Parker pulling out a can of pepper spray and pointing it at the victim’s face, resulting in another fight between the women. Following a brief scuffle, the victim collapsed to the ground, bleeding, and Parker fled south on foot.
Parker was reportedly wearing a braided wig found at the scene, as well as a pocket knife.
An employee at nearby Crazy John’s Restaurant and Arcade told investigators that after the first altercation with the victim, Parker came in and tried to buy a pocketknife but was turned away because she was “irate,” according to WMAR. Parker was later able to obtain a pocketknife from Stop 1 Grocery Plus, which is located just down the street from Crazy John’s.
Surveillance footage from a nearby Krispy Krunchy Chicken allegedly captured Parker pepper spraying and stabbing the victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries to her lower back, wrist, and shoulder.
According to records, Parker was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and remained there as of Thursday afternoon.
