A man wanted for murder in Sandusky has been arrested following a brief SWAT standoff at a Lorain home, police confirmed.
According to Lt. Eric Manicsic of the Sandusky Police Department, the male suspect wanted for murder in their jurisdiction was found at a house in Lorain.
Police have yet to specify when or where the Sandusky murder occurred.
SPD then contacted the Lorain Police Department for assistance in apprehending the suspect, Manicsic stated.
LPD responded to the home, but the suspect refused to leave for the officers who arrived first, according to Manicsic.
The SWAT team was then dispatched to the scene, according to Manicsic.
After a brief SWAT standoff, the suspect voluntarily exited the house, according to Manicsic.
According to Manicsic, the suspect was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Sandusky Police Department.
The suspect has not yet been released.
