Port Clinton — A new slope-repair project will close a secondary route to Port Clinton for about two months beginning this week, and State Route 2 will have lane closures nearby.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that the ramp from eastbound State Route 163 to eastbound Route 2 will be closed until mid-November. A posted detour will direct traffic to Route 2 via State Route 358, which includes a busy railroad crossing.

Meanwhile, lane closures on Route 2 west of Lakeshore Drive will continue until mid-November for slope repairs.

Meanwhile, pavement repairs on I-75 between State Rt. 81 and Hanthorn Road will last four more weekends.

From Friday nights until Monday mornings, I-75 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Stripe painting will also cause weekday lane closures from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this week.

The most difficult phase of the Secor Road reconstruction project, between Laskey and Alexis roads, has been postponed by at least another week.

The Toledo Department of Transportation announced on Friday that reconstruction of the middle of the Secor/Laskey intersection has been pushed back to sometime next week.

Repaving of the right lanes in all directions is scheduled to begin Monday. However, all through movements and turns are currently open to traffic, albeit with congestion-related delays.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that State Route 65 in Perrysburg will be closed Thursday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for pavement repair on an I-475 bridge.

The planned detour is along Roachton and Hull Prairie roads.

Meanwhile, flag zones will be required at two locations along State Route 295 beginning early this week for pavement repair.

Work is scheduled between U.S. 24 and Neapolis-Waterville Road on Monday and Tuesday, as well as south of Central Avenue on Monday only. ODOT said the latter will take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. No work hours were assigned to the other zone.

Ohio Turnpike (I-80/90): Lane closures and traffic changes in both directions for pavement repair and resurfacing between Oregon Road (east of I-75) and Reynolds Road (U.S. 20). The left lanes east of the Elmore interchange are still closed for median restoration following bridge work. Fulton County has two repaving zones that require nighttime lane closures, as well as work zones further east.

I-75: Lane closures are possible at Hancock County Road 99 due to an overpass replacement and interchange reconstruction project.

I-75 (Mich.): Two of the three lanes in either direction at Dunbar Road will be closed until 8 p.m. Monday for pavement patching.

U.S. 23: Nighttime lane closures near the Monroe Street (State Rt. 51) interchange in Sylvania due to interchange reconstruction.

U.S. 23 is closed at State Rt. 105, near the Wood/Sandusky county line, until mid-October for roundabout construction. The detour uses U.S. 20 and U.S. 6, taking traffic east to Fremont’s western outskirts. Non-commercial traffic should take Bradner Road instead. State Route 105 is also closed between Bradner and Sandusky County Road 139, with a detour posted via State Routes 582 and 199.

U.S. 24 (Fearing): One lane in each direction between Airport Highway and Hill Avenue for work on the railroad overpass north of Airline Avenue.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge: Right lanes are closed in both directions for mechanical and electrical work.

State Route 2 (Navarre): Lane closures at Navarre and White Streets and White and Ellis Avenue, both in East Toledo, for crosswalk improvements until next week.

State Route 109: Bridge replacement at North Turkeyfoot Creek closes the road between Henry County Roads S and 424, effectively cutting off access to US 24 and the Damascus Bridge. To get to the far side of the river, take Industrial Drive in Napoleon and then County Road 424 or State Route 110. Car traffic can use county roads S, 3A, and 424 to bypass the detour. Reopening is scheduled for early October.

State Route 64: Flag zones for repaving between State Route 295 and US Route 20A until mid-October.

Secor Road: Lane closures between Laskey and Alexis for reconstruction work. Choose Talmadge or Tremainsville/Douglas instead. Lane closures also impact Laskey at Secor.

Byrne Road: Between Heatherdowns and Detroit, lanes will be closed for repair and resurfacing.

Westwood Avenue, north of Nebraska Avenue, is closed for culvert replacement until November 2. Detour along Byrne Road between Nebraska or Hill Avenue and Dorr Street.

Monclova Road is closed between Jerome Road and Keystone Drive for widening and resurfacing. Detour routes include Jerome Road, Technology Drive, Maumee-Western Road/Illinois Avenue (US 20A), Ford Street, and the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 24).

Oregon Road between Wales and Andrus is closed for utility work, with traffic detoured via Tracy or I-75.

Summit Street (Mich.): The I-75 Exit 2 Connector is one lane each way during bridge replacement and resurfacing.

M-125 will remain closed between North Otter Creek and Mortar Creek roads for culvert work, which has been extended through this week. Use U.S. 24 (Telegraph).

State Route 2: Lane closures across and east of the Thomas Edison Bridge for resurfacing until September.

US 6/20: Lane closures on the eastbound Fremont Bypass for slope repairs near the Sandusky River until September.

U.S. 24: Lane closures in both directions near the Henry/Defiance county line for interchange construction on Henry County Road 17D. Road 17D is closed at U.S. 24, and no turns are permitted from Banner School Road to eastbound U.S. 24. There will also be lane closures around and west of Defiance for pavement repair between State Route 281 and US Route 127.

US 23/30: Lane closures on the Upper Sandusky bypass for resurfacing.

U.S. 127 (Ohio): Flag zones run between U.S. 20 and the Michigan border, as well as between Paulding and the Defiance-Williams county line.

U.S. 20A: Flag zones between Fulton County Road 24 and the Williams County line will be resurfaced through September.

U.S. 223/127 (Mich.): Both highways have construction flags near their northwest Lenawee County junction.
