Akron, Iowa — Residents in northwest Iowa are cleaning up after Tuesday night’s storms.

A tree in Akron, Iowa, was uprooted and landed on top of a house on Haskell Street’s 500 block. The tree caused significant damage to the roof and what appears to be a portion of the living space beneath it.

The city experienced extensive tree damage and small branches in the lawns. The high winds also knocked down a couple of trees on Highway 12.
