A woman is wanted in Pennsylvania after allegedly punching another woman in the face during a violent road rage attack.

Imeera Burnett, 21, has been charged with assault, according to court records in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The underlying incident happened on Monday.

Motorists were driving in Upper Darby Township on Monday evening, reportedly across from the 69th Street Transit Center, when a “road rage assault” occurred, the Upper Darby Police Department announced on Wednesday, pleading with the public for assistance in locating Burnett.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt told Philadelphia-based ABC affiliate WPVI that the alleged victim was driving when a vehicle cut in front of her, prompting her to honk her horn.

Burnett allegedly drove this vehicle, a Dodge Charger, and pulled over after hearing the horn.

“She got out of the driver’s side, walked up to the victim’s window, and punched her in the side of the face,” Bernhardt said, adding that a fellow passenger had to pull the suspect back into her car. The car drove away, but not before the other driver captured a photograph of the suspect’s license plate.

“Turn yourself in,” Bernhardt demanded from Burnett. “Your emotions got the best of you, and now you’re going to have to answer to the charges of assaulting another person.”

The woman who was allegedly punched “sustained a facial injury,” according to police. Her injuries, however, were minor, according to the television station.

An individual with the same name and birth date as Burnett is listed in the Pennsylvania court system as having a criminal history that includes theft, resisting arrest, and other charges of simple assault.
