Police attend to a crash on northbound I-69, near the Union Chapel Rd. exit

Fort Wayne, Indiana – Authorities responded to a crash in northern Allen County on Friday.

According to city/county dispatchers, the crash occurred near the 317-mile marker on northbound I-69, near the Union Chapel Road exit.

At around 8 p.m., the Allen County Sheriff’s Department issued a Public Safety Alert advising people to avoid the area for the next two hours.

The northbound lanes were closed while authorities responded to the scene, but they have now reopened.
