South Amherst, Ohio — A pedestrian was struck early Tuesday morning, forcing first responders to close part of State Route 113 in South Amherst for several hours.

FOX 8’s Patty Harken reported that the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m.

SR 113 was closed between Baumhart and Quarry roads.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reported that the road reopened shortly before 8 a.m.

The pedestrian’s condition has not been released. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
