South Amherst, Ohio — The man killed in an incident that closed State Route 113 in Lorain County on Tuesday morning has been identified.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Brandon McKenna of Elyria was struck and killed shortly after 4:30 a.m. on State Route 113 west of Quarry Road.
According to OSHP investigators, McKenna was walking eastbound on the westbound side of the road when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and was hit by a Ford Explorer and then a Honda Civic.
McKenna was pronounced dead on the scene.
State Route 113 was closed for several hours between Baumhart Road and Leonard Street in South Amherst, but it has since reopened.
At this time, the incident is under investigation.
