Van Wert County, Ohio — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Transportation held two ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Friday to commemorate the official opening of two new rest stops.
The governor, in collaboration with ODOT and local community leaders, works to provide a safe, accessible, and clean environment for those traveling through Ohio.
DeWine’s transformative eight-year project for rest stops like these will educate travelers about Ohio’s natural history, popular attractions, and historic past.
The new Van Wert rest stop is located at 8300 U.S. 30, Van Wert, Ohio 45891. The Union County rest stop is located on U.S. 33 westbound between mile markers 97 and 98.
