According to reports, a shooting occurred at an Austrian school, killing multiple people.

Police responded to a shooting at the BORG Dreischützengasse in Graz around 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, June 10, according to local public broadcaster ORF.

According to the Austrian Press Agency (APA), nine people were killed in the attack. According to the agency, seven students were killed, along with one adult and the suspected shooter.

Police confirmed the incident’s location via an X post.

Officers have since posted additional updates on the social media site, stating that there have been “several deaths.”

Police have set up a meeting point for students’ parents at the city’s ASKÖ Stadium. The crisis intervention team is also providing support to students and their parents, according to another post.

According to ORF, the suspected shooter is believed to have committed suicide, citing police spokesman Fritz Grundnig.
