Iowa — As the United States experiences its worst measles outbreak in over three decades, Iowa has confirmed its seventh case of measles as of 2025.
According to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, the patient is a fully vaccinated adult living in eastern Iowa.
More than 1,200 measles cases have been confirmed across the country this year. South Dakota has the highest rate of cases among the Siouxland states, with 12 in total, eight of which are in Lincoln County. In contrast, Nebraska has only reported one case this year.
