Flood Warnings are now in effect for areas including Seymour, Newberry, Edwardsport, Petersburg, Hazleton, Elliston, and Riverton, with the potential for lingering impacts throughout the weekend in southern parts of the state.

In Greene County, roads such as River Road and County Road 550 S near Newberry and Elliston are affected by high water. In Daviess and Knox counties, roads including Old Vincennes and Schaefer Road near Edwardsport are impassable. Bottoms Road and East Governors Road near Petersburg are also impacted, with the river expected to crest early Thursday.
In Seymour, the East Fork White River reached 12.7 feet on Tuesday night and is expected to remain above flood stage through late Wednesday. In Riverton, located near the Indiana-Illinois border, the Wabash River is cresting at 15 feet overnight.
