Lorain officers shot in the line of duty are honored at Guardians game

Cleveland, Ohio – Lorain officers who were shot in the line of duty were honored at the Guardians game on Saturday evening.

The Guardians presented the game ball to Lorain Police Department officers Brent Payne and Peter Gale.

Both officers were injured in an ambush last month. The suspect opened fire on the officers during their lunch break.

Officer Philip Wagner was also shot and killed during the ambush.

Officers Payne and Gale are still recovering from their injuries.
