Lima man faces murder, assault, and evidence tampering allegations

LIMA, Ohio – A Lima man has been charged with murder and other offenses in relation to a fatal stabbing in April.

An Allen County Grand Jury indicted Marcus Tyson, 45, on charges of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence for Anthony Townsend’s murder on April 18.

According to police, Tyson and Townsend were arguing at Townsend’s house when Tyson allegedly stabbed him in the abdomen. Townsend was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Tyson was eventually arrested in Adams County, Indiana. He is currently being held in the Allen County Jail under a $1,000,000 bond.
