LIMA, Ohio – A Lima man has once again been found incompetent to stand trial in Allen County Common Pleas Court.
Kevin Stahr, 28, was charged in 2021 with one count of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault after allegedly stabbing his mother multiple times with a knife.
Stahr, who did not appear in court, has been receiving treatment at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare in Columbus. Dr. Kelly Conn, a psychologist, wrote a six-page report claiming that Stahr’s intellectual disability and mental illness render him unfit for trial.
Under Ohio law, Stahr’s competency will be reviewed every two years. His most recent hearing, in 2023, also determined incompetence.
