BAKERSFIELD, CA — UPDATE (June 7, 2025, 3:00 p.m.): The Kern County Fire Department reports that forward progress of the fire has been halted. All additional equipment ordered to assist with the firefight has been cancelled. Every evacuation warning has also been lifted.
The Kern County Fire Department is battling a fire in the Bodfish area on Saturday afternoon.
The “Isbella Fire” is burning near Lake Isabella Boulevard and Bodfish Canyon Road.
According to KCFD, as of 1:50 p.m., the fire had burned approximately 5 acres at a rapid rate.
