Kern County celebrates Pride Month with community park cleanup

Bakersfield, California —  Residents of Kern County gathered at a local park to kick off Pride Month with a community celebration and service. The event, held this morning at 8 a.m. at Planz Park, invited the public to help local organizations clean up the park.

The initiative aimed to promote pride, strength, and unity by contributing to the community and maintaining the beauty of local parks.

The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity’s Interim Executive Director, Dani Muñoz, stated that this month is crucial for the community to feel supported, uplifted, and valued in Bakersfield.
