BORON, Calif.— A traffic stop in Boron on Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a 52-year-old man, who was found with more than two and a half pounds of methamphetamine, marijuana, and heroin, deputies said. The driver also had a lot of cash and three guns.
On June 11, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a KCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop on a driver who had committed several violations. The driver, later identified as Robert Shaw, pulled over near Del Oro Street and Tamarisk Avenue in Desert Lake.
Shaw, a Boron resident, was allegedly in possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
A subsequent search of his car revealed the following:
- 1.3 pounds of meth
- 1.5 pounds of marijuana
- 1.57 ounces of heroin
- A large sum of cash
- A digital scale
- A loaded handgun
- A loaded short-barreled rifle with no serial number
- A semi-automatic .22 caliber rifle
Shaw was arrested and booked into the Mojave Jail for several felonies.
