In Adams County, an automobile collides with an animal-drawn vehicle

Adams County, Indiana — A crash between a car and an animal-drawn vehicle occurred Friday night, resulting in serious injuries.

At 5:01 p.m., Adams County Sheriff Officers responded to a crash on the 1600 block of N CR 300 West in Decatur, Indiana.

Following an investigation, law enforcement determined that a northbound car rear-ended the northbound animal-drawn vehicle. The impact ejected the two passengers in the animal-drawn vehicle, both of whom sustained serious injuries.

The passengers were taken to the hospital by ambulance and are now in stable condition.

The evidence collected indicates that the driver was following the animal-drawn vehicle too closely. There is no evidence to suggest that the car’s driver was in any way impaired.
