Wakeman Township, Ohio — A man was critically injured in a crash Saturday night in Huron County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers from the Norwalk Post responded to the intersection of State Route 303 and State Route 60 shortly before 7:30 p.m.
According to the OSHP, Betty Jarvis, 75, of Elyria, was driving east on SR 303 and failed to stop at the posted stop sign. When she entered the intersection, her car collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Vincent Davis, 37, of Wakeman.
Jarvis’ vehicle was forced off the road and into a tree as a result of the collision. Davis’ vehicle ran off the road and into a bush and a chicken coop.
Jarvis and her passenger were transported to the hospital by EMS after suffering minor injuries. Davis sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Fisher Titus Hospital before being flown to Cleveland Metro Hospital.
According to OSHP, no charges have been filed, and the crash is still being investigated.
