LIMA, Ohio – Hot Head Burritos, a Dayton-based chain, is expanding its operations throughout Northwest Ohio.
Founded in 2007, the company now has 63 stores in Ohio and 87 nationwide, including its newest location in Lima. After their debut in Wapakoneta in 2024, co-franchisees Brad Wright and Travis Donley expressed a desire to open a location closer to their home.
“I used to own the Pony Keg here in town, and I sold that right at the start of 2022, decided to take a couple months off to figure out what I wanted to do, and ran into the opportunity to purchase the Hot Head burritos franchise,” Wright told me.
“Godfather’s Pizza, which is what this building used to be, was my first job ever as a kid,” Donley told me. “I’m a Lima guy who graduated from Lima Senior. This is my first job in this building, which was once Godfather’s, so it’s very exciting for me, and I just love Lima and want to bring some good food to it.”
The Wapakoneta location currently employs 12 people, and the Lima location plans to hire 30. They are currently only accepting in-store orders, but plan to expand to online, phone, and DoorDash orders within the next two to four weeks.
