According to cops and reports, a New York man who was allegedly fighting with his wife shot her dead, as well as his own father and grandmother, years after his mother claimed she predicted he would “kill somebody someday.”

Joshua Fowler, 26, is accused of killing his wife, Whitney Fowler, his father, Wilson Fowler, and grandmother, Anita Crandall, on Wednesday night. The Fowlers and Crandall shared a home in Grafton, about 40 miles west of Boston, according to local CBS affiliate WRGB.

Joshua Fowler’s mother, Eleanor Crandall, told the outlet that he has mental health issues and has allegedly refused to seek treatment.

“To me, my son died that night, too,” Crandall said.

“I hate him,” she added. “And that is a very powerful word in my vocabulary. “I only use that word when absolutely necessary.”

Prior to the triple homicide last week, police reportedly responded to calls about domestic disturbances at the Fowler residence several times. Joshua Fowler’s mother claims he has struggled with anger and mental health issues for years, to the point where she feared he would harm someone.

“I told his father when he was 15 years old, ‘You need to get him mental help because he’s going to kill somebody someday,'” Crandall told the radio station WRGB.

Joshua Fowler faces first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and a weapons charge in connection with the triple shooting. In interviews with local media, friends and family, including his mother, condemned his actions.

“If he hears it, I hope he realizes what he did and knows that it was wrong, and that he just took somebody’s mom, somebody’s family, somebody’s sister, somebody’s daughter,” said Alexa Moak, Whitney Fowler’s longtime friend, in an interview with local ABC affiliate WTEN. “He just took them away.”
