North Ridgeville, Ohio — Following the deadly ambush attack on three Lorain police officers, people across Northeast Ohio have continued to show their support for the community.
On Sunday, residents and the children of several local officers set up a lemonade stand in North Ridgeville’s Waterbury neighborhood to raise funds for the families of the officers killed in the recent incident.
Lorain Officer Phillip Wagner was killed in the attack and was honored with a funeral at Rocket Arena last week.
The lemonade stand’s organizers stated that they want to show their support for Wagner and his injured brothers in blue, Officers Peter Gale and Brent Payne.
The group stated that all funds raised on Sunday will go to the Lorain Charitable Donation and will be distributed to the officers’ families.
They have also started a GoFundMe page called Lemonade for Lorain for those who were unable to attend the weekend event.
