During a funeral procession, a Howland police car was hit

Geauga County, Ohio – A Howland police officer who was leading a procession to Lorain County for the funeral of fallen officer Phillip Wagner was involved in an accident Wednesday morning.

It occurred on US Route 422 in Geauga County. A viewer sent WKBN a photo of the crash.

According to Howland Police Chief Nick Roberts, the officer will attend the funeral. He claimed that a vehicle in the opposite lane collided with a second vehicle, causing it to cross the lanes and strike the officer.

The officer was not harmed. It’s unclear whether anyone else was injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and did not have any information on Wednesday morning.
