Victorville, California — Authorities are investigating a deadly weapon assault after a woman reported her boyfriend being shot by a neighbour in Victorville on Sunday afternoon.
According to a written statement from Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Gloria Huerta, deputies responded to the 11700 block of Sierra Road around 3:19 p.m. on June 29, 2025, after receiving a report of a shooting.
The reporting party informed dispatchers that her boyfriend was shot by a neighbour.
The female driver, believed to be the reporting party, drove the injured man to the Bear Valley Road flyover, where emergency personnel were waiting.
Deputies and Victorville Fire Department personnel responded, and the victim was taken by ambulance to an unknown hospital for treatment. The nature and severity of the injuries were not disclosed.
Deputies with guns drawn surrounded a home thought to be linked to the shooting. A Sheriff’s helicopter circled overhead, and loudspeaker announcements instructed the occupants to exit the home.
No further information has been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
