The Adams County Community Foundation recently awarded a grant to the City of Decatur for the downtown HIVE Art Studio for shades. The purchase and installation of blinds in the HIVE windows provides relief from the sun’s heat and glare, allowing artwork to be preserved. Additionally, the blinds will reduce glare on the meeting monitors.
The Hive is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and can be rented privately.
Jaime Gephart, community coordinator and grant writer, thanked the ACCF for its support of the HIVE Art Gallery.
Becky McClure, an ACCF grants committee member, stated that the ACCF is pleased to provide the City of Decatur with useful equipment to make the facility more comfortable for attendees.
This ACCF grant was made possible by the Adams County Community Foundation Community Enrichment Fund.
