0328 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Sesame Street in the Village of Convoy for a report of a subject who may be in crisis at another location.
1047 hrs. – Deputies responded to a theft report at a residence on Colwell Road in Union Township.
At 11:20 a.m., deputies responded to a residence on West Hoffman Street in the Village of Ohio City to check on the welfare of a resident.
1208 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Westwood Drive in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist who was locked out of their vehicle.
At 1319 hrs., deputies responded to a report of two loose dogs on South Washington Street in the City of Van Wert.
At 1323 hrs., deputies served a probation violation warrant issued by Van Wert County Common Pleas Court. Jeremy James Cole, 34, of Mercer County, was transferred to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
1457 hrs. – Middle Point EMS was dispatched to a residence on Upperman Road in Washington Township for a person experiencing stroke symptoms.
1529 hrs. – Wren EMS was dispatched to a residence on State Route 81 in Willshire Township for a subject experiencing severe back pain.
At 1547 hrs., deputies responded to a report of an injured deer along State Route 697 in Ridge Township.
At 1606 hrs., deputies responded to a report of criminal damage at a residence on Liberty Union Road in Pleasant Township.
1615 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on South Linn Street in the Village of Convoy to investigate an abandoned 911 call.
At 1731 hrs., deputies responded to a location on South Walnut Street in Van Wert to assist a motorist who was locked out of their vehicle.
At 1731 hrs., deputies responded to a residence on Thistlewood Court in Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police Department.
At 1754 hrs., deputies responded to a residence on Washington Street in the Village of Scott to assist a motorist who was locked out of their vehicle.
At 1759 hrs., deputies responded to a report of reckless driving on Middle Point Road in Ridge Township. The vehicle was found on Wayne Street in the city of Van Wert. Following further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was cited for Driving Under the Influence. Dennis Roy Line, age 66, of Van Wert, was transported and left with his family. He’ll appear in court at a later date.
At 1810 hrs., deputies responded to a residence on Rockford Road in the Village of Willshire to assist with an unruly juvenile.
1836 hrs. – Deputies, Willshire Fire, and Wren EMS responded to an ATV crash report on a trail off State Route 49 in Willshire Township. Clayton Drummond of Celina drove Unit One, a Can-Am 1000R, through the Willshire trials with one occupant. The ATV was traveling north along the trail. Unit One then turned northwest along the trails, taking a sharp turn that caused him to roll the ATV. The driver was unharmed, but the passenger, Terry Miller of Celina, was injured. Wren EMS transported the occupant to Ohio Health, from which he was transferred to Parkview Hospital via Samaritan Helicopter. The ATV had minor damage but was still functional. The Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted at the scene.
2020 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on West Fourth Street in Van Wert to assist a motorist who was locked out of their vehicle.
