Found property, Walker Road
On Aug. 15 a black wallet containing credit cards and an Ohio interim license was found by a motorcyclist.
The wallet was handed over to an Avon Lake officer working off-duty near Moorewood Ave.
Theft at Brandon Place
On August 16, a resident reported that their truck bed cover was stolen overnight.
Harassment on Lake Road
On August 16, a woman reported receiving harassing communications from her child’s father about custody of the child.
Speeding on Miller Road.
On August 18, an officer stopped a driver for speeding.
The driver had an expired license and an outstanding warrant from the Lorain Police Department. The driver was arrested.
Theft at Newbury Drive
On August 18, a resident reported that she paid $685 to a contractor for window repairs, but he did not show up to complete the work as agreed and has not responded to communication attempts.
Officers mediated the situation, and the contractor agreed to repay the funds.
