Last October, the Cleveland Clinic made an official announcement about its collaboration with Amazon One Medical. At the time, the exact location of the new facility was not disclosed. Until now.
According to a press release, Amazon One Medical, a hybrid virtual and in-person primary care organization, will open its first primary care office in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic by the end of the year in the French Creek Square retail plaza (former Sleep Outfitters space), 36040 Detroit Road, Avon, offering same- and next-day appointment availability, onsite lab services, and wrap-around virtual care support for members.
“This collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment from both organizations to meet the needs of our patients and to enhance the care we provide to our communities,” said Dr. Tom Mihaljevic, CEO and president of Cleveland Clinic, in a press release. Amazon One Medical will supplement our existing primary care offerings, giving patients access to critical health services.”
According to the press release, Amazon One Medical is intended to improve the patient experience at all touch points, including thoughtfully designed offices, convenient appointments, and adequate time between patients and their providers.
The Amazon One Medical mobile app provides members with 24/7 virtual care services 365 days a year, including on-demand video visits, secure provider messaging, “Treat Me Now” digital assessments for common health concerns, easy vaccine and medical record access, prescription renewals, and proactive reminders for follow-up care and referral needs.
