Allegations of an Exotic Dancer A friend claims that Bryan Kohberger abused his position as a teaching assistant by sharing murderous impulses with female students

Bryan Kohberger used his position as a teaching assistant at Washington State University to “inappropriately interact with female students,” according to a coworker.

In a newly unsealed interview obtained by PEOPLE, that coworker told a Moscow Police Department investigator that he shared an office with Kohberger during his first and only semester at the school.

Police redacted the man’s name, but he also “stated he thought Kohberger wanted a girlfriend and added they talked about Kohberger wanting a girlfriend on many occasions.”

Kohberger did interact with one female, who told investigators about their morbid discussion.

An exotic dancer claimed she met a man she thought was Kohberger around 2019 at her workplace, which is about two hours away from his Pennsylvania home.

According to the woman, the man was the only patron in the club when she performed her act on the main stage that day, and “during the dance she heard the man state something about ‘wanting to kill people,'” according to police.

She told police that she chose to interact with the man because he was the only person in the club, and she assumed he was just looking for attention with his comments, so she jokingly asked “who he was going to kill.”

He allegedly responded by saying, “Whoever I want.”

According to her interview, the woman later offered him a private dance during which he allegedly instructed her to look him directly in the eyes and then proceeded to ask her personal questions about where she lived and the type of car she drove.

After that, the woman claims he left and never returned to the club, to her knowledge.

Kohberger then murdered four University of Idaho students, for reasons that remain unknown.

Investigators said this week that after nearly three years, they are still unable to determine Kohberger’s motivation. He has never spoken about his crimes, other than confessing to the murders at his plea hearing earlier this month.

He is now in the custody of the Idaho Department of Corrections after being sentenced to four life terms for the murders of Xana Kernodle (20), Ethan Chapin (20), Madison Mogen (21), and Kaylee Goncalves (21).

Kohberger began his stint as an IDOC ward on Thursday by posing for a new mugshot, which shows him gaunt and emotionless.
