A 43-year-old man was arrested on drug charges after authorities executed a search warrant at his home, according to Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman.

On Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies and members of the Grand Lake Drug Task Force worked together on an interdiction detail in Mercer County.

During the detail, officers conducted eight traffic stops and issued five citations and five warnings.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for a house in the 8000 block of Weitz Road in Hopewell Township after learning “information” during a traffic stop, according to Timmerman.

It is unclear what “information” authorities gathered during this stop.

Deputies arrested Jeremiah Williams, 43, after discovering several drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the home, according to Timmerman.

He was booked into the Mercer County Jail on a preliminary methamphetamine possession charge.

Williams is still in jail at the time of writing.
