A pedestrian was murdered in a hit-and-run on State Route 2

SANDUSKY, OH— The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on state Route 2 early Sunday, September 7, and needs the public’s help.

According to a Sunday Facebook post, the incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes between the Erie-Lorain county line and the state Route 60 intersection.

“We would be interested in speaking with you if you were traveling in that area at about that time, or if you have any information that you believe would be of any assistance with helping us with this investigation,” according to the posting.
