A man suspected of fatally stabbing a Washington state woman in an attack that injured another man was arrested Tuesday in the Los Angeles area, following the discovery of his car in Calabasas.
Longview, Washington, police said Alexander Lee Rogers, 51, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department, but no details were immediately released.
Authorities announced Monday that Rogers’ unoccupied black BMW was discovered in Calabasas, leading investigators to believe he was in the area and sparking a local manhunt.
According to officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lost Hills station, the vehicle was found on Monday in the 23000 block of Calabasas Road.
According to the Longview Police Department, Rogers of Longview, Washington, is suspected of killing Dawn Peters, 64, and attempting to murder Andrew Peters, 73, on August 5.
