Williamstown, Ohio – A Lima motorcycle rider died after colliding with a deer in Hancock County on Tuesday night.
Kenneth Reed, 65, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital and later died from his injuries. According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Reed collided with a deer while driving a Honda Goldwing on County Road 20 around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The collision caused him to deviate from the right side of the road and eject him from the motorcycle. Reed wasn’t wearing a helmet.
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 2004 hours, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle injury crash on CR 2 East of TR 177 in Madison Township.
Kenneth Reed (65 years old, male) of Lima, OH was operating a 1995 Honda Goldwing WB on CR 2. Kenneth collided with a deer near TR 177, causing him to travel off the right side of the road. Kenneth was ejected from the motorcycle and did not wear a helmet at the time of the accident. Kenneth was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in critical condition. Kenneth later died from his injuries.
Appleseed EMS, Blanchard Dunkirk EMS, Jackson Forest Fire and EMS, Northern Hardin County Fire, Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, and Dick’s Towing all responded to the scene.
