An Ohio man who allegedly threatened to kill Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials was detained by federal authorities. He referred to them as “Gestapedos,” which seems to be a combination of the terms “Gestapo” and “pedophiles.”

The arrest of Cincinnati resident Anthony Kelly, who is charged with threatening to attack, abduct, and kill a U.S. official, was announced on X (previously Twitter) on Saturday by DHS assistant secretary for public relations Tricia McLaughlin.

Following Kelly’s arrest, Homeland Security officers searched his residence and discovered a weapon and ammo, according to McLaughlin.

Screenshots of Kelly’s purported posts on BlueSky were shared by the DHS official. In one post, Kelly addressed a tweet that was taken out of context and suggested that federal immigration authorities can hold people based on “their physical appearance,” which was a reference to a Fox News interview with Border Czar Tom Homan.

Kelly allegedly tweeted, “Thanks for giving We The People permission to shoot your #Gestapedos #TomHoman.”

In another, Kelly attacked Noem for claiming that she intended to establish further facilities, such as the Florida “Alligator Alcatraz,” to hold undocumented immigrants.

“This week, #KristiNoem, the shotgun will be purchased. How many of your pitiful #Gestapedos are interested in smoking? Additionally, you’re invited b—.”

Kelly allegedly replied to another correspondence regarding the acquisition of Medicaid enrollee data by Homeland Security.

Kelly is claimed to have said, “A message to the #Gestapedos,” “You’re going to get shot if you come for me. Furthermore, I have no intention of disabling your pedo asses. I’m trying to get the kill. I don’t care about your identities, names, or anything else. They’ll shoot you. You’ll die. The narrative is over.

Such threats, according to McLaughlin, “will not be tolerated.”

“You will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” she stated.
