A fugitive from Texas was captured in northeast Ohio

Perkins Township, Ohio – A man wanted for sexually assaulting a minor in Texas was arrested in northeast Ohio early Thursday morning.

Perkins Township Police reported that the Texas Department of Public Safety had requested assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Special Response Team in locating the suspect believed to be in the area.

After determining where the suspect was, troopers worked with Perkins Township Police to apprehend him.

“The operation was successfully executed, resulting in the subject’s arrest without incident,” Perkins Township Police stated.

The suspect’s name has not been released.

“This case exemplifies the strong collaboration between local, state, and out-of-state law enforcement agencies working to protect our communities. We are proud of the teamwork and dedication of our night-shift officers, who played a critical role in apprehending this fugitive,” added Perkins Township Police.
