According to authorities, a man was fatally wounded Sunday morning in Palmdale.
The shooting took place around 1:20 a.m. in the 4600 block of East Avenue S, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics transported the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to witnesses at the scene, the shooting occurred near a Domino’s Pizza in the Palmdale Market Place shopping center after a confrontation.
There was no more immediate information available.

This was the third homicide in Antelope Valley since July 15, when a man was shot and killed at 11:50 p.m. on the 38000 block of Ninth Street East between Sierra Highway and Tenth Street East. The second occurred at 8:05 p.m. Friday in the 44300 block of Cedar Avenue in Lancaster, when a man was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
