Sioux Falls, South Dakota – A Miller man died in a two-vehicle accident in Huron on Monday morning.
According to a news release, Caleb Schuette was driving a 2001 Buick LeSabre north on West Park Avenue when he failed to yield at the stop sign and entered the intersection with US Highway 14.
A semi driving eastbound on Highway 14 collided with the Buick. Schuette’s car came to rest in the northwest ditch, while the semi came to rest in the eastbound lanes of US 14, closing the highway for approximately five hours.
Schuette died of his injuries. The semi-truck driver was not injured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
