Police in New York City are looking for a suspect in a shooting that killed one man and injured another in Brooklyn.
The street attack occurred in Bushwick around 10 p.m. on Monday, June 2.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and a 63-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the right eye,” according to a New York Police Department press release.
Both men were transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where Ramel Fisher, 39, was pronounced dead.
The other victim, who has not been identified, is in stable condition, according to the press release.
“There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing,” police told me.
The motive for the attack is unknown.
“It’s pretty shocking—it always feels pretty safe in the neighborhood, I would say,” a neighbor named Nico told News 12. “It’s not like it’s always quiet, but we’ve never felt unsafe.”
