Sharon Township, Ohio – A 16-year-old driver was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Richland County on Thursday morning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 8 a.m. on state Route 314, near Stine Road in Sharon Township.
According to investigators, the Lexington teen was driving a Honda Civic northbound on state Route 314 when they lost control at a curve, went left of center, and collided with a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The teenager was transported by ambulance to Ohio Health Mansfield with serious injuries.
The Dodge driver, a 62-year-old Shelby man, sustained minor injuries, according to state troopers.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, which is still under investigation by the highway patrol.
