Huron City Schools to Remain Hybrid

At the Tuesday, November 17 Huron Board of Education Meeting, the board voted unanimously to remain hybrid for the rest of the first semester.

The motion came after many people spoke at the meeting, sent letters to the board, and signed a petition asking the board to reverse their decision to go five-day in-person. Board members also referenced Governor DeWine’s calls to “slow down” and rising COVID-19 case numbers.

The new motion will still have November 23 and 24 be in-service days. The schools will remain hybrid until January 19, the beginning of the second semester.

The board also voted unanimously to have Superintendent Dennis Muratori make future decisions about reopening. They said that rights were taken away from him after the board voted in August to have schools be hybrid.
