CDC Shortens Quarantine from 14 Days

On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that they will be shortening the time for quarantine after someone is exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19. Now people who are exposed will have to quarantine for ten days, if the person reports no COVID-19 symptoms. That can also be shortened to seven days, if that person gets a negative COVID-19 test. The change comes after new data shows that the new periods may be acceptable.
