Nine People Killed in Car Crashes Over Thanksgiving Weekend in Ohio

From Wednesday, November 25 at 12:00AM to Sunday, November 29 at 11:59PM, nine people were killed in nine fatal crashes in Ohio. This is down from last year where, 18 people were killed in 15 fatal crashes. Of the nine people killed, two were pedestrians, four were not wearing a seat belt and two involved impaired driving. Over the Thanksgiving Weekend, State troopers also arrested 298 people for operating a vehicle while impaired and 193 for drugs, issued 944 safety belt and 146 distracted driving violations, and assisted 2,135 motorists.
