Fort Wayne, Indiana – Authorities swarmed the area outside a Fort Wayne home Thursday, attempting to get someone to come out.
Starting around noon, the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Sheriff’s officers, and at least one K-9 unit surrounded a house in the 4500 block of Oliver Street. SWAT arrived around 12:30 p.m., but the situation had not been deescalated.
According to an Allen County Sheriff’s Department public information officer, police were there to serve “multiple felony warrants” and the first officers arrived around 10 a.m. The specifics of the situation are unclear.
Just before 12:45 p.m., the man appeared outside, hands raised. He was taken into custody without further incident.
